We’re a startup from Australia, and we’ve recently been inspired by the Solid project. Its principles resonate deeply with our vision of a more decentralised, user-controlled internet, and we’re excited to integrate Solid into our offerings by providing pods for our clients.
As non-technical founders, we’ve been diving into the project, but we know there’s a lot more to learn and many ways to collaborate. We’re looking to connect with anyone who has experience with Solid, whether you’re a freelancer, developer, or simply someone who can offer guidance.
We’d love to chat about how we can work together or if you could point us in the direction of someone in Australia or at Inrupt who might be interested in collaborating.
Looking forward to hearing from this amazing community!
@jeffz Has a github for Solid practitioners, and I believe they have an open file for offering positions (paid and unpaid) where companies can advertise as opposed to asking here. @michielbdejong also runs PDS Interop which is another Solid startup. Good luck
At the PDS Interop team, we are always interested in collaborating or chatting about opportunities, sectors, solutions. We should chat because if ontologies can be shared, applications can be shared and we think there is a huge exponential potentials once we have users or data or apps. Once we have one, the rest will come.
We try to aggregate information at PDS Interop | LinkedIn. Would be great if you follow us there. If open discussion is possible, feel free to start. We can also do closed chats, maybe do a call?
Next to funded projects and own development, we are working on two interesting cases:
datakluis.nl, which will provide an SSO and media preferences in your Solid pod for all dutch media sites
libraries, where we want to create an (open source) book tipper. Based on reading lists in your pod, it will give you a tip for a book. Big ambitions of course to expand on this application, multi-channel, cross-media etc. But first we will work on a book tipper.
