What's the connection of solid-protocol and W3C?

Hi,

What’s the connection if any between the solid protocol and the W3C? Is the goal for solid-protocol to become a W3C approved standard? Is there a timeline for finalizing the protocol and submitting it for review?

The W3C Solid Community Group - https://www.w3.org/community/solid/ - is the official connection with W3C. The Solid specifications are submitted from that group. I’m not sure about the timeline of official adoption. You might ask in solid/specification - Gitter for those more in the know.

Additionally, a number of Solid ontologies (terms,ui) are served by w3c and controlled by people who hold roles in both Solid and W3C.
