I was reading an article: Let's be Friendsters | Technology | The Guardian (thanks to a Dan Brickley share - https://twitter.com/mrcruce/status/1101118264556568576 - nice discussion btw) which reminded me of the days when I tried to create my FOaf profile via Foaf-aMatic - http://www.ldodds.com/foaf/foaf-a-matic and further upload it onto my website 
Could it be that this form or whatever the front end is, can be created with a Solid backend.
Reason: A little less scary way to start with Solid even in its early protocol-not-product days
