Data Transfer Project - Solid "Port-In" functionality

Tim Berners Lee mentioned the idea of “Port-In” functionality in his talk at Mozfest2018 whereby users could download an archive of their data from Social Media companies (e.g. https://takeout.google.com) and port this into a Solid pod. Tim indicated that work was starting on this. Does anyone have any information on this project - who’s leading this, whats the status, how one can get involved, etc?
