This is my first post after just joining this discussion, so please forgive me and provide kind assistance if I have posted to the wrong subsection.
I am new here but a real enthusiast and loving this community so far. I have a background in teaching coding and in education and feel I could help with documentation, at least for starters.
As a new member in this forum and wish to share and gain some knowledge. I am looking forward to create my own discussion to resolve my query and gain some knowledge though I have taken part in various discussion which is definitely helped me a lot.
Also in what category should be taken depends on what factors?
Post anywhere you like. Traffic is light enough that your post will be visible in any category. General Discussion is fine. Any topic or question related to Solid is open. You may also want to ask in one of the matrix chatrooms where many of us hang out. You may also want to join our Practitioners Video Call where developers discuss their projects. Also visit Getting Started which has a variety of tutorials.
Documentation and teaching would be very helpful. While there are a lot of resources about Solid, the issue with much of the documentation makes underlying assumptions about the readers’ knowledge of the technology which Solid is built on top of, such as OIDC and DPoP and RDF and the Linked Data structure. While the onboarding resources for Solid are great for someone who already has ~intermediate web development knowledge, it is not great for “pure beginners”. While this may be intentional, it makes it more difficult especially if you have a gap in your knowledge. It would be nice to have a more comprehensive tutorial to Solid by looking at how it interacts with the Web currently (HTTP requests, resources, OIDC support, RDF primer) and build an application while teaching some of these lower-level concepts.
